Day 1 challenged us to create a card using one of the color recipes from the design teams' favorites. I LOVED Amy Sheffer's color scheme of aqua mist, mint julep, tropical teal, stormy sea, and smokey shadow. I don't have the new stormy sea yet so I substituted that with Smoke from Simon Says Stamp and still achieved beautiful results.
Here is the card I created using this color scheme:) I never would have come up with this combo on my own! The design layout is from one of their designers during the June 2015 release.
What a fun challenge! I have ideas stirring in my head for the clothing inspiration challenge too:) Going to work on that one later today. Have a great week crafting with Papertrey Ink!

WOW...this is absolutely beautiful Jeni! I admit I didn't give much thought to Amy's color combo at first, but after seeing this gorgeous card, I think I need to try it out for myself!! Lovely, lovely card!! :0)

ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty card! I used Amy's colors for my "inspired by" card, too. Love the soft effect you created. I wouldn't have thought of gray flowers, but they look lovely on your design.
